Overview
Based on the readings in this module, identify and describe two immigration factors, such as reception by the host society or immigrant acculturation patterns, that can impact an immigrant’s mental health and health outcomes. In what ways are immigrants resilient and able to cope with these immigration factors or stressors? What role can cultural beliefs play in the coping process among immigrants? What information do social workers need to include in their assessments of immigrants?
