Second, I think a lot of this is tied directly not to sociology but to some sort of business economics at this point. I do think it CAN be tied to the sociology that we've been reading and hearing about in Soc 180AW, so I think you can -- and should -- do that. Third, I don't see any news stories or social media accounts about all this in your proposal -- or any references to those stories. Fourth, do you plan to find some DATA about how tariffs work (my own understanding is that it can become very complicated -- although I do think that if Donald Trump was elected her would greatly INCREASE tariffs and that might cause more inflation for ordinary working class US citizens on key products (and, yes, many crucial American products are still made in China and other parts of Asia). I think you are started okay, but a lot is missing here that still could make this a good sociology paper for this class.''
