Overview
In this assignment, you will be comparing 2 different primary documents. Think about your documents together as a historical source and separately as historical sources; how, why, and by and for whom were they created; and whether there are omissions that might impact their use in answering scholarly questions. You will write a memo/essay of 800-1000 words answering the attached questions.
Make sure to include an individual analysis for each document, as well as an analysis comparing and contrasting the two documents. Be sure to answer all of the listed questions while analyzing.
I have purposefully chosen 2 historical documents that relate to women's rights. This should make it easier to find comparisons between them (for example, how they both are historical documents of women's rights groups pushing for change).This should also make it easier to find differences between the two documents (for example, one of them is from the country Barbados and was organized by women who were trying to work, while the other was from an activism group that successfully boycotted and protested an inappropriate film that showed and encouraged abuse against women).
