Your essay should be no more than 5 double-spaced pages, 12-point Times New Roman font, and 1-inch margins.
The question should be answered in a coherent essay in which you take a position and make an argument supporting that position based on evidence from the course readings and lectures.
Your essays will be graded on how well: (1) you make a logical, coherent, analytical, and reflective argument; (2) your argument draws accurately on lectures and readings; (3) you demonstrate mastery of the concepts; and (4) your paper is well-written and well-structured.

Introduction (20 points): State your thesis; briefly state how you will support your argument
Three Body Paragraphs (30 points): Construct a logical sequence of sections that supports the argument you are making; describe the main topic of each section or paragraph; your argument should proceed in such a way as to convince the reader of the persuasiveness based on your handling of evidence; use transitions between points to allow the reader to follow how your points relate to the argument you are making
Conclusion (20 points): Include a concluding statement that summarizes your argument and the evidence you used to support your argument; discuss the implications of your argument
