Write a 5 page double spaced paper, using your book for reference (fifth edition, Experience Sociology, David Croteau/ WilliamHoynes/ Tara Stamm), about the following topic. -A discussion of your topic of interest and research question, why you chose it. (20 points)
-What type of research you are conducting and why (basic, applied, or public) (20 points)

-What two variables are you interested in, and how will you measure them? Essentially, operationally define your two major variables, your dependent and independent. (20 Points)

-Summarize what you expect the findings to be. (10 Points)
The overall goal of this essay is to get you to think of sociology as a science and to understand how sociological research is conducted by setting up your own idea for a study.
