From the Ritzer textbook, you will find one quote about income inequality, wealth inequality, or poverty in the section of the textbook that begins with the heading “Economic Inequality” and ends just before the heading “Social Mobility.” After the quote, you will write, in your own words, what the quote means. Then, you will choose a quote from the document found in the chapter 8 module named “bell hooks – Class Matters Notes.” Choose a quote from this document that is connected to the quote you chose from the Ritzer text. After the quote, write, in your own words, what you understand the quote to mean. Finally, in the second paragraph, write about an experience from your own life that you believe illustrates the inequalities the two quotes discuss. All quotations must be followed with parenthetical references. The full references, properly formatted, are needed after the body of the assignment using either APA or MLA citation style. The first line in the document of Class Matters Notes is the full reference using APA. The minimum length for this assignment is two paragraphs. |
