The Globalization of Latin American Cuisine
The research question I am looking to answer is the following: How has globalization impacted the authenticity, commercialization, and cultural significance of Latin American cuisine? To answer this question, I will analyze academic sources from fields such as food studies, cultural anthropology, and economics. My research will look at the globalization of Latin American food, taking into account the effects of migration and trade. Exploring whether cultural identity is impacted by globalization and how it affects the authenticity of Latin American cuisine. Lastly, examining how Latin American cuisine is portrayed in the media. My scope will cover the late 20th century to the present.
