ASSIGNMENT: Please respond to the classmate’s discussion post below:

Jennifer Brown:

Hi all! I have a unique perspective on this. I have suffered with severe depression and Scotty. I hide this fact from no one I'm open to talking about it. Last year I was talking fentanyl at an extremely high dose for pain and Xanax for my anxiety. I took pain medicine (opioids) abd Xanax (opioid). Later year I finally had enough of being on all the medicine I was taking that was altering my mental state.

A year ago I was completely against drugs like THC etc. Butt I got informed about how medicinal marijuana can be in treating/managing depression and anxiety. I understand the approach of being so hard on drugs, but I think it's time everyone had a sit down and chat about the harm that big pharma can do and do in face doing. My doctor had me on massive doses of pain killers for five years. I never misused it not once. But no one had a problem with me forever being on the narcotics, I am torn now on this topic. I know what the civil answer is, but if doctors could have done this to me with medication and dependancy etc, I wouldn't do take the medicine again knowing what I know now.

The debate for drugs and around drugs isn't going away, if anything drugs are being talked about more now.l have found me treatment options for myself and hope my story can help someone else.
