Overview
Step 1: Write a sociological qualitative research question based on your research topic from Unit 1. Step 2: Draft an ethnographic interview guide (list of interview questions) pretending you are conducting interviews to answer your research question. (Well... not really just pretending... because I'm going to be having you actually conduct a practice interview with it next week). Be sure to take into account the suggestions made in the chapter and my introduction to this week.
my topic is Gym culture and body image, how social expectations shape workout habits or goals. I have chose this topic as I feel a person connection to some of the negative affects this may lead to. It believe it is sociological as it does bring social norms or ideals into question. The norms influence the overall purpose some individuals start attending the gym. It’s also can bring up the inequality each gender may face as men may be seem needing to be bulky and strong while women should be small and slender.
