ASSIGNMENT: Please respond to the classmate’s discussion post below:

Kylie Pinson:

Technology has further objectified women by allowing people to access explicit websites like OnlyFans or Pornhub. Young teenagers are introduced to these types of images by friends, and it becomes habitual. The use of sexually explicit sites for gratification is extremely unhealthy. It is addictive, and it can negatively impact a person's daily life and intimate relationships. It also shapes a viewer's mind in the sense that it appears to suggest "you can do whatever you want to women."

On a broader scale, the rise of dating apps has greatly reduced real-life interactions. People only meet online nowadays, and it feels so destructive for basic human interaction. Social media is extremely invasive, and it almost entertains the idea for people to look for "better" options than their current partner. The advantages of computer and phone sex for users could be the anonymity of it. The user doesn't have to be judged for their looks, age, gender, or personality. People are bolder online, and it enhances intimacy. The people who meet online are often inauthentic to themselves, and they have less successful relationships as opposed to people who meet in real life.
