Overview
You will select a film to critically evaluate. The instructor provided a list of options earlier in the semester for pre-approval. As the rubric indicates, there are no points earned for submitting the title on time, but 15 points will be deducted from your final point total if you missed the selection deadline.
In your review, you must indicate to the instructor how your film is relevant to the class. Your evaluation portion of the assignment must be four full pages long and provide an analysis as to how the material (plot) relates to five different module readings (this can include different chapters of our text book or articles associated with each module page. Websites and videos cannot be used as source material).
You must indicate how the plot/information relates to themes and sociological theories discussed in class. This paper will not offer a summary of the material, but instead, a thoughtful and comprehensive analysis of sociological issues present in your film. A detailed grading rubric is provided in the "Files" section of the course for your review. THE FILM BEING REVIEWED IS CALLED HIM BY JORDAN PEEL
The Film Review is due Friday, November 7th by 11:59p.m. Early submissions are welcome and will be graded as able. The Film Review is worth 150 points and counts as a significant portion of your final grade. Late submissions will not be accepted for any reason. Please double check to verify that your submission has uploaded on Canvas.
