In the last assignment, you were asked to identify the stakeholders interested in the policy you are exploring, noting potential proponents and opponents of the policy change. For this assignment, you will create an infographic.
An infographic is a collection of imagery, data visualizations like pie charts and bar graphs, and minimal text that gives an easy-to-understand overview of a topic. An infographic has 3 core components:
- Visual: color coding, graphics, and reference icons.
- Content: time frames, statistics, and references.
- Knowledge: facts, statistics, and deductions.
As you've seen in the readings, social policies are designed to support social justice. We, as social workers, also believe that it is important to involve stakeholders in solving social problems. As you create an infographic to recruit stakeholders, choose one of the policies presented in the text and describe the needed changes required to support social justice for the population impacted. Create an infographic that is visually appealing, highlights the power dynamics of your chosen policy, promotes action, and encourages collaboration.
Instructions
Using PowerPoint, Canva, or other graphic design program, develop an infographic that depicts the chosen policy and the population to which it applies. Include reasons and statistics supporting the policy change supported by the infographic. Considering your previously identified stakeholders, develop your Infographic to:
- Encourage stakeholder engagement in the policy change.
- Address the reasons/statistics for supporting the policy change.
- Consider which pressures, obligations, or beliefs would encourage their support.
- Emphasize the alignment of the policy change to the NASW Code of Ethics.
- Consider how ethical practice is important and can impact the outcome.
- Consider how the infographic can help stakeholders recruit and lead their constituents in this process:
- How would you represent stakeholders' diverse interests?
- How do you represent the stakeholders' common interests?

- APA formatting: Resources and citations are formatted according to current APA style and formatting or help with research.
