You are required to write an essay that demonstrates your understanding of poverty in the UK.
Your essay will need to include an evaluation of each of the following: - • An examinatoin of the theoretical principles and methodologies underpinning different approaches to measuring poverty. • An evaluation of the extent to which poverty measurement methods reflect the lived experiences of individuals and families. • An evaluation of recent policies aimed at tackling poverty in Britain. • An assessment of the effectiveness of these policies in addressing poverty among different social groups. GUIDANCE The essay should be written in paragraphs which flow; it is therefore recommended that you plan your essay before you start to write it. You must attempt to include some conclusions and recommendations towards the end of your essay. Relevant theory must be referenced where appropriate and a references list and bibliography provided.
