Overview
DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME AT THE TOP OF YOUR PAPER (or any other header information, as we know who you are from BruinLearn).
For this 2-3 page (double-spaced, conventional margins and fonts) assignment, you will select ONE identity (or an intersection of two identities) and write an engaging, illustrative, and informed brief essay that demonstrates the specific ways that you enact that identity (see Slides #16-17 from 1/28 on "How" you enact particular identities--remember role-making?) and the social psychological tools to understand your performances (drawing on recent readings and lectures on definitions of the situation, selves, impression management, facework, embarrassment/emotions, stigma, schemas, etc.).
The strongest assignments will make clear what the identity is and the specific way this identity is enacted in quality (e.g., what it looks like), process (e.g., what actions/tools are used), and why (e.g., with what goal or driver).
The rubric is attached to this assignment for students who have questions or would like you use that as a guide./ I will attach part 1 and 2 for you to base the paper off of them.
