Overview
The Building Block Assignment and the Signature Assignment are related, but they are not the same assignment.
The Building Block Assignment is designed to help you develop and practice the skills you will need for the Signature Assignment. Think of it as a smaller assignment that prepares you for the larger project.
The Signature Assignment is a separate assignment that serves as the major writing assignment for the course. You will choose a topic from the approved list provided in the assignment instructions and complete all of the required components outlined in the rubric.
While some students may choose a similar topic area for both assignments, the Signature Assignment is not simply a resubmission of the Building Block Assignment with a different topic.
Please be sure to carefully review the instructions for each assignment, as they have different requirements and grading criteria.
