Supporting Your Work
All work must be supported ONLY by scholarly sources published within the past five years. One original or important source older than five years may be used when appropriate.
Acceptable scholarly sources include peer-reviewed journal articles, course textbooks, RISE presentations, assigned readings, and publications from authoritative organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Non-scholarly sources such as blogs, general websites, Wikipedia, and non-peer-reviewed media sources are not permitted.
For courses requiring the use of textbooks and assigned readings as references, these materials must serve as the primary sources. Students should also review individual course assignment instructions and grading rubrics for any additional requirements regarding acceptable or required resources.
All sources must be included in the reference list and must have corresponding in-text citations formatted according to APA 7 guidelines. References must also include valid and functional URLs or DOIs.
Introductions
Introductions are not mandatory, but it is highly encouraged to complete your introductions as this provides your classmates and I an opportunity to get to know you. Introductions will not be graded and will not count towards your activity.
You will be sharing information with each other over the next eleven weeks, so this is a great opportunity to start to get to know your peers as we begin our journey. Please introduce yourself and let everyone know who you are, where you work, what campus you attend, and any other information you would like to share. For the online environment to be lively and to be able to exchange views in a friendly manner, it is essential to know a little about each other.
Also, please let us know if you like to be addressed in a certain way.
You should read as many of your peers' introductions as possible and comment on a few of them. You should also respond to students who post in your thread.
