Sociology Question

Overview

Follow the instructions provided. The use of ai is not allowed. Keep the writing simple as I’m an average writer at best no need to over complicate it. I have attached the instructions and with have a rough proposal and sources I want to use related to my topic

For the project format, I would make a series of educational videos like a podcast. I think this format would be the most effective at reaching teens and young adults, as these platforms are already used by the same age group that is impacted by this issue.

The project would aim to develop a brief educational series to show the impact of social media on mental health. Some of the episodes could be on things like social comparison, cyberbullying, online pressure, addiction to social media, and how to create healthy habits online.

Personal stories or interviews with youth impacted positively or negatively by social media. There might be some advantage to having the audience hear real experiences to make them more likely to relate. Psychologists or counselors can also share thoughts on the signs of unhealthy social media use and how to protect mental well-being.

The information could be presented in a podcast or a YouTube channel, making it more accessible and comfortable for the younger generation. The project would be awareness-based and not research-based, to educate the public that social media can be used in a healthier fashion.

Social media is one of the most powerful aspects of today’s culture, particularly for youth and young adults. While it can offer plenty of advantages, research indicates it may also result in mental health problems if used in an unhealthy manner. This is because I have first-hand experience of the impact of social media on confidence, relationships and emotional health. I hope that this project can help raise awareness and promote positive social media use among youth.
