Chapter three assignment

answer all sections of each question.

Please respond to the following in paragraph form, providing an appropriate level of detail and specificity. Single sentence replies are insufficient. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation count. Do not submit work that has not been proofread. Your submission should be a minimum of four well-developed paragraphs.

Reading eleven:

  1. The readings which comprise this chapter deal with the impact of the wider environment on schools. All schools exist and operate in an environment, but of course there is wide variation in those environments: To simplify, some schools exist and operate in environments (social, political, economic, physical) which minimize the probability students will realize their potential, while other schools exist and operate in environments (social, political, economic, physical) which maximize the probability students will realize their potential. Provide a detailed yet concise summary of the three ways (one paragraph each) in which poverty and its accompanying social conditions adversely impact students and schools. Make sure to paraphrase or use quotes when necessary.
  2. What is meant by a “full service school”? How might “full service schools” help improve student and school performance? What is BBA and how is it being used in Newark? Again, be detailed yet concise in your response.
