Have to have SPSS

Overview

Upload a single MS-Word document with your answers.

Using the HBAT.sav file and only variables X6-X12 answer the following questions.

1) Create output similar to Table 3.4 on page 166 for X6-X12.

a. Paste the Correlation Matrix (Correlation and Sig. (1-tailed))

b. Which variables have a significant (i.e. p-value < 0.05) correlation with X6? What is the p-value?

c. Paste the Anti-Image Matrices

d. Which variables have a Measure of Sampling Adequacy (MSA) below 0.5? What is the value for the lowest MSA?

2) Create a Scree plot similar to Figure 3.11 on page 170 based on variables X6, X7, X8, X10 and X12 (Extract-Based on Eigenvalue with the Eigenvalue greater than 0).

a. Paste the Scree plot

b. Based on the Scree Plot, how many factors have Eigenvalues greater than 1?

3) Create output similar to Table 3.9 on page 174 based on variables X6, X7, X8, X10 and X12.

a. Paste the Rotated Component Matrix

b. What factors should be grouped together?

c. For id 2 (the first observation of the data set) what would be the summated scale value for each grouping?

Use all 100 observations of the HBAT.sav file and variables X6, X8, and X12 to answer questions 4-6. Before answering the questions, make sure you have the data sorted by ID#.

SPSS: Data-Sort Cases-Sort by: ID-Sort Order Ascending – OK.

4) Create an Agglomeration Schedule similar to Table 4.8 on page 237 using Ward’s Method and Squared Euclidean Distance as the Measure.

a. What is the last id# to combine into a cluster?

b. What stage does the last id# combine into a cluster?

c. What is the next stage this cluster combines again?

d. Paste the relevant portion of the Agglomeration Schedule that supports your answers.

5) Profiling the Nonhierarchical Cluster Results. Save a new 4-cluster solution (create column with labels) using K-Means Cluster Analysis and create an ANOVA table.

a. Paste the ANOVA table and the Number of Cases in each Cluster table.

b. Are there significant differences in the response patterns between clusters for any of the 3 variables (X6, X8, X12)?

c. How many cases (observations) are in each cluster?

6) Create a Means Plot for X6, X8, and X12 similar to Figure 4.17 on page 247.

a. Paste the means plots for X6, X8 and X12.

b. Which cluster has the highest mean for X6?

c. Which cluster has the lowest mean for X8?

d. Which cluster has the highest mean for X12?
