Overview
Create ONE scientific research question using the data sets provided.
Choose either a t-TEST or ANOVA but not both are required.
t-Test: one continuous variable + one categorical variable (with 2 levels) OR ANOVA: one continuous variable + one categorical variable (with 3 or more levels)Results
Write up your results. Include descriptive statistics for every variable included in your analysis, pretest criteria, and test results. (You can even use 3 subheadings for these separate sections.) In this section, simply report your results. You do not yet need to describe them (that will be done in the next section). Generally, results are written out, but certain graphs, charts, or tables may be extremely helpful here as well.
Example (please do not use this )
- Research question: Is there a significant difference in asthma diagnoses between males and females?
- Variables:
- AB17 “Doctor ever told have asthma” (1=yes; 2=no)
- SRSEX “Self-reported gender” (1=male; 2=female)
- Statistical test: Chi-Square
