Overview
As we discussed last week, the way we choose to collect data can influence, in many ways, the data that we actually collect.
Consider the number of points in a Likert scale.
- Does the choice of the number of points influence the results?
- What are the pros and cons of a smaller number of options, like three or four, versus a larger number of options, like eight or nine?
- What about odd versus even? Can that make a difference?
In your post, answer these questions in general and in context (give examples). Then, in your follow-up posts, expand on your colleagues' thoughts.
