Overview

As a result, you should follow suggestions found in the "Presenting Health Data" PowerPoint and the document titled "Tips for Building Professional Tables." This assignment will be done on excel.
Assignment 3–Creating Charts Using Online Data (USING EXCEL)
INSTRUCTIONS–READ CAREFULLY:
These instructions apply to all parts of Assignment 3. Points are associated with all instructions; not following the instructions will result in a loss of points. 1. You are responsible for following the guidelines for creating professional charts and tables covered in the “Presenting Health Data” PowerPoint even if the instructions do not specifically address those points. You will also want to pay attention to the suggestions addressed in the “Tips for Building Professional Tables.” In other words, the concepts discussed in these documents should be considered when organizing, formatting, and building charts and tables. 2. Answer each question on a separate worksheet within one workbook; label each worksheet with the question number. 3. You will need to enter the necessary data into the worksheet; and if a chart is requested, the chart should be on the same worksheet. 4. Decimals should be removed from the axes. 5. Data in tables and data labels in charts should show only the number of decimal places in which there is valid data, although all data within a table column or data labels in a chart should have the same number of decimal places. As a result, a single data point may have no data in the decimal place, but should show. 6. Charts should have an appropriately descriptive title. The reader should be able to understand what is being shown simply by reading the title.
7.To make the charts professional-appearing, you will want you to: change the size of the
charts, adjust font size, change colors, format numbers and decimal places appropriately,
add axis titles when needed, etc. (If you change the size of the chart, you will need to adjust font size so that it is proportional to the chart size.) To receive full points on a question, you should make at least 2 changes to default formatting (excluding changing chart size and adding a Y-axis title); the table holding the data does not need special formatting. (Refer to the “Presenting Health Data” PowerPoint for tips on creating professional charts.) 8. If the question only requires a table, it should have an appropriately descriptive title; additionally, you may want to add color and borders, align data and headers in columns to make the table easy to read, etc. To receive full points on a question, your tables must be formatted beyond the default. (Refer to the “Tips for Building Professional Tables” document for tips on creating professional tables.) 9. All tables and charts should include the source of the data. If the question requires only a table, the data source should be placed just below the table. The source should be placed at the bottom of, or just below, a chart. Links to necessary websites for this assignment can be found by clicking on the “Selected Websites with Health Information” link on the “Assignment 3” page. Sources of Data (3 points) Include sources for all data. If a chart is created, place the source below (or at the bottom of) the chart. If only a table is requested, place the source below the table.
