I’m currently taking COMS 3001: Quantitative Communications, which focuses on applying statistical analysis within communication studies. For this assignment, we are using SPSS to perform various analyses, and I’d appreciate your assistance in ensuring my work is accurate and aligns with the course requirements.
Assignment Overview: The assignment is divided into three main parts:
- Univariate Analysis: This involves generating frequency tables, measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode), and measures of dispersion (standard deviation, range) for multiple variables, excluding a few specified ones. Each table needs a brief interpretation of what the measures indicate about the data.
- Recoding Variables: I need to recode the age variable into specified age ranges and conduct a univariate analysis on this newly created variable.
- Bivariate Analysis: This part requires conducting eight bivariate analyses, including nominal-ordinal and ordinal-ordinal pairs, using specific independent variables. Each table needs brief comments focusing on the significance of p-values and the strength/direction of relationships.
