Research Report

Overview

Instructions:

  • Report must be in past tense (what you have done, not what you proposed to do).
  • The analysis section must be expanded and reflect what was actually done.
  • The results section simply states the highlights of your findings along with key tables and figures (no editorial comments should be incorporated).
  • The discussion section is where you analyze your findings and link them to your introduction and literature review. Here is where you also evaluate the strengths and limitations of your study’s methodology (think annotated bibliography) and provide implications and application for social work practice and policy and recommendations for future studies on your topic.

Note: Students are expected to incorporate all of the Practice Behaviors and Underpinnings addressed in this course into their final research report. Students’ competency will be assessed by the course rubric.
