As you reviewed the uses of advanced healthcare statistics in Weeks 3–5, you will apply some of your reading from Chapter 5 of the Calculating and Reporting Healthcare Statistics text.
You will perform exercises using the textbook, Microsoft articles, and the Length of Stay video as your guide.
You will need Microsoft Excel for this exercise. If you have not done so, refer to Software Preparation and Technology Access in Week 1.

Follow these steps to complete this assignment.

- Go to Chapter 5 of the 'Calculating and Reporting Healthcare Statistics' text, page 83.
- Perform LOS calculations for review question 3.
- Go to Chapter 5 of the Calculating and Reporting Healthcare Statistics text, page 69.
- Perform LOS calculations for Exercise 5.2.
- Note that the exercises are on separate tabs with instructions in the div.
- When complete, save as u06a1 with your last name. For example, u06a1_Kumar.
- Submit your completed div in the courseroom.
