Overview
Lab 4: Categorical Data Analysis
Assignment Description
In this assignment, similar to lab 3, you will practice analyzing bivariate categorical data (two nominal or ordinal variables at a time) by constructing crosstabs (crosstabulation tables), but this week you will add a third “stratifying” variable to your analyses. You will also conduct a chi-square test of independence to examine the statistical relationship between two variables, stratified by a 3rd variable and interpret the results of the test. Finally, you will create and edit charts or graphs in SPSS that you can then export or copy/paste to other documents (e.g., presentation, report).
For this lab, we will use 2019 Monitoring the Future Survey data from 12th graders in U.S. schools. You downloaded this dataset previously. If you have not downloaded the dataset yet, please refer to the previous information for instructions on how to access and download the dataset.
Please answer each of the following questions in full. For some you will type your answers (please use full sentences with proper grammar). For others, you will copy screenshots or provide key information from your SPSS output. Please ALSO attach or submit your SPSS output with every assignment! You will lose 5 points if the SPSS output is not uploaded with the assignment submission.
PLEASE SEND ME 2 ouput files. FOR me and my sister.
