Copied from the Project 2 announcement:
Your question and work should be similar to something you do in 11.3. Come up with a question before collecting data, so you can make your hypothesis. Justify an alpha (level of significance) based on how costly/harmful a wrong conclusion would be. Then run the hypothesis test, including all steps. Then use the correct confidence level (based on your alternative hypothesis and alpha) to rerun the test with a confidence interval. Make sure to include an interpretation of the interval along with the conclusion you can make for your initial question/claim based on the interval. There are a few other small graphs and such to help you refresh for the final.
Here are some easy ideas:
mean gas prices in different cities, mean home prices in different cities (similar size homes), time it takes (men vs women or older vs younger or something else) to get ready in the morning/for a date/anything else you can think of. Really you just want to be able to compare means of two different groups. There are plenty of statistics you can find for sports if you're into any.
