1) Instructions

Please scan your completed SP1- 4 Checkpoints into one PDF file and submit to this folder.

  • SP1 Process Checkpoint (pp. 7 – 11: Sex Selection Study #1 – 5, Font Study #1 – 8, Wii Fit Study # 1 – 4)
  • SP2 Types of Studies Checkpoint (pp. 15 – 26 of your packet: College Library Study #1-3, Jogging Heart Rate Study # 1- 6, SAT Essay Study #1-3, Oklahoma City Thunder Study #1 – 3, Reading with Music Study #1 – 3, Web Profiles Study #1 – 2, Sweet Potatoes Study #1 – 32)
  • SP3 Experimental Design Checkpoint (pp. 36 – 39, #1 – 11)
  • SP3-4 Experimental Design, Sampling Methods, and Bias Checkpoint (pp. 45 – 48, #1 – 2, Football Sample #1 – 7, Vehicle Name Study #1 – 4, Homework Study #1 – 2)

In the comments field, let me know how it's going.

  • If you are feeling good about your understanding of the content in SP1 - SP4, write a sentence to summarize a new idea you learned, an "aha" moment you had, or a misconception you had that was corrected when you viewed the answer keys.
  • If you are still feeling shaky on your understanding of the content in SP1 - SP4, describe what has been hard for you, ask questions about specific concepts or problems from your assignments, and/or identify 1 or 2 questions you'd like me to provide feedback on. (For example, "Is my description of the process in the Football Sampling Study #2 clear enough?")

Technology Tip: Scan into one PDF file. I use CamScanner, a free scanning app that essentially takes a picture of my documents. Using “batch” mode, it will compile multiple pictures into one PDF that I can email to myself so I can submit or post online.

Make sure each page is a clear, full-size image, one image per page. If I printed your file, it should look just like the documents you scanned in clarity, size, and number of pages. You may submit one file that includes all of these activities or one file per activity, whichever you prefer.
