Overview
In our first discussion we asked you to identify some study strategies that you planned to use this term to be successful in this class. It's time to reflect on those choices and think about how well those have worked for you (and how well you have stayed with your plans).
For this post, please do all the following (recall, partial posts will not receive credit):
STEP 1: Remind us which two strategies you chose in your first post. You can just list them. If you missed the first post, you can pick two strategies now.
STEP 2: Describe in a few sentences how well those have worked and any changes you have had to make. Did you stick to them? Did you have to adapt? For example, if you had planned on doing a little bit of work every day, were you able to stick to that? If you didn't, how often did you work and were you able to keep up with the work?
STEP 3: Now that we are halfway through the term, what additional changes are you going to make to your study habits so that you have a successful second half of the term? If you are happy with your study habits and happy with your grade, tell us that! Maybe by telling your classmates what has worked for you can help them in the second half of the term.
Please read the directions carefully and remember, if your post does not address all 3 steps above, you will get 0 points. No partial credit for posts. After reading the prompts, click "Start New Thread" to start your post.
STEP 4: As always, for full credit, you need to read your classmates' posts and provide a meaningful REPLY to at least one post. Replies might include (but are not limited to) study strategies that are working for you that could help a classmate, questions about someone's study strategies that are working, etc. The point of these discussions is to provide a sense of community in this online class and give you an opportunity to support each other and learn from each other so please take the time to provide a well thought out response. Replies such as "me too" will not receive credit.
