discussion reflection

Overview

For a lot of us, this may have been our first introduction to statistics. Hopefully, this class has taught you a few new skills and opened your eyes a bit to how prevalent statistics is in our world. As we continue our education, we may need to apply some of the skills we have learned this term to our jobs or have the background to understand statistics when we see them in articles, reports, etc.

Instructions

As you are studying for your final exam, there may be some topics you may be struggling with more than others. The discussion board is a great way for us to share the things we are struggling with, and see if our classmates can provide us with a few tricks they have learned to help them master those topics.

Discussion Prompts

Respond to the following prompts in your initial post:

What is the topic you are struggling with the most? Which statistical concept or principle did you enjoy learning the most? How will your statistical knowledge support success in your future career? Please be specific with your post. Saying things like “I don’t understand anything” or “I don’t understand module 7” is very vague and will be difficult for people to offer help. Instead, try to be more precise like “I am struggling to compute a p-value” or “I am struggling to determine whether we reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis.”

If possible, respond to posts that have not yet received responses from classmates.
