Overview
In this project, you will choose one of the following datasets — Home Runs or Hurricanes — and answer the questions outlined in Project 1, Chapter 4: Linear Regression.
- Use StatCrunch to perform all necessary calculations and generate the required outputs.
- Be sure to include the following screenshots in your submission:
- Scatter plot of the data (Graph>Scatter Plot)
- Scatter plot with the regression line (Stat>Regression>Simple Linear)
- Regression analysis results showing: (Stat>Regression>Simple Linear)
- Correlation coefficient
- Equation of the least-squares regression line
To include graphs and StatCrunch output in your project, you can use the Snipping Tool (or any screenshot tool) on your computer to capture and paste the necessary images.
Home Runs The following data represent the speed at which a ball was hit (in miles per hour) and the distance it traveled (in feet) for a random sample of home runs in a Major League baseball game.
