PH-661-101: Biostatistics II COURSE PROJECT You are required to demonstrate knowledge of PSPP in biostatistics by using data from NHEFS dataset. You are expected to examine the effect of smoking (smokeyrs) on systolic blood pressure (SBP), controlling for age, race, sex and wt71 (weight in 1971). Specifically, you should do the following: 1. Provide a title for your project. 2. Provide an introduction, including the research problem. 3. State both your research question and the associated null and alternative hypotheses. 4. Include at least five peer-reviewed articles relevant to your research question/hypothesis.. 5. Use an appropriate statistical model to evaluate the effect of smoking (years of smoking) on systolic blood pressure, controlling for age, race, sex, and wt71. Interpret the findings and draw your conclusion. 6. What are your justifications for controlling the effects of age, race, and sex?
