Overview
PART 1:
In around 1 page, address the following about the sites that you will visit.
For the biodiversity site:
- 1. What do you expect to see/learn about?
- 2. What sort of education and outreach activities do you expect they do? If none, make sure you clearly state this and why.
- 3. What sort of animals and plants do they work with and why?
For the two additional areas:
- 1. What testable prediction can you make about differences between the sites in relation to biodiversity? For instance, what types of aquatic invertebrates would you expect to see in a pond versus a stream? This could be something like the number and types of butterflies or birds. If you are having trouble deciding, contact me and we can work it out.
- 2. Based on your understanding of the two areas, how do you expect the habitats to differ?

PART 2:
In around 1-2 pages, describe how what you saw and researched about your sites differed from your expectations.
For the biodiversity site:
-1. What things that you expected to see were present? What did you see that you did not expect? Of the things that you expected to see, what was missing?
-2. How did their education and outreach activities compare to your expectations? If you could not find evidence of any education and outreach activities, what sources did you use to try and find this information?
-3. How did the organisms that they work with compare to your expectations? Do the reasons that they work with these particular organisms differ from your expectations?
For your two parks/natural areas:
-1. What were the results of your testable prediction? Were the two sites equivalent, or did one site have more than the other?
-2. What are some limitations to how you tested your prediction? How could you further test your prediction?
-3. Compare and contrast your expectations for the two habitats. Did they differ? How did they differ? How did these differences or lack of differences compare to what you expected?
