Before starting this discussion, read your Informative Speech Assignment to have context for completing the discussion. This discussion allows you to share your demonstration speech topic, provide audience feedback to your classmates, and analyze the audience responses that you receive to your topic.
To complete this discussion, complete the following steps.
- In your discussion post, share your idea for your Demonstration Speech Topic and include a brief description of your credibility with this speech topic.
- Read the other student topic posts, and respond to at least 2 other topic ideas.
- When responding, post a question or comment you have regarding the other student's topic.
- Each student needs to have at least one response post for their Topic idea. This is a great way to get an "audience reaction" for analysis.
- Review the responses that you receive on your topic. Respond to questions that other students ask. Use the audience analysis responses to help you as you develop your informative speech for this audience.
If you change your topic from what you post in the discussion board, you must e-mail your instructor with your topic and get instructor approval of your topic prior to speech day.
