Personal Reflection #1
Instructions:
This is an opportunity for you to reflect on course materials related to defining sex and gender identity , how identity is related to social power, what intersectionality means and what effect it has on social power. You will then write about how what you learned can help you to become a more mindful and knowledgeable communicator.
In order to earn the maximum number of points available:
- Personal reflections must make specific and detailed references to the course materials relevant to that reflection. Specific and detailed references include either direct quotes from the text (with accompanying page number(s) for that direct quote) or just relevant page numbers or section titles when paraphrasing or making a more general reference to the relevant course content.
- Personal reflections must make a clear connection to how you plan to incorporate that new knowledge by including one or more specific examples of how you will enhance your own communication behavior because of your reflection.
- Personal reflections must be a minimum of 300 words.
