External pressures often force healthcare managers to reduce expenses or make changes to policies and procedures. As leaders we must find that balance between maximizing productivity of our employees while avoiding burnout and constantly improving the quality of the product that we are managing.
You are the manager of an outpatient surgery center owned and operated by a group of surgeons. You report to the board of directors that has set a goal of achieving “Excellent” ratings from patients.
