Assignment Submission Requirements:
Students topic is Respiratory Acidosis for the case study presentation assignment.
Your patient should present with respiratory acidosis and your case study should focus on the care of a patient with respiratory acidosis. Your patient should have a disorder that is a risk factor for having respiratory acidosis such as COPD. You can choose whatever disorder you want as long as it is correct.
Student must submit a typed paper containing the Health History, Laboratory/diagnostic testing, and collaborative management elements of the case study. This shouldbe no longer than 2 pages. (See RUA-Case Study Template)
Student must submit 1 typed plan of care or 1 Concepts map addressing the priority physiological nursing diagnosis and 1 typed plan of care or 1 Concept map (total of 2 concept maps or care plans) addressing the priority psychological nursing diagnosis. (Student may choose to submit a concept map for each priority nursing diagnoses instead of the care plan. If the student chooses to use a concept map, it must incorporate the same information required for the plans of care). (See Concept Map and Nursing Care plan Template)
Student must submit a reference lists formatted according to APA 7THedition. A minimum of at least four (4) references are required for this assignment. Student must cite at least two (2) research or evidence‐based practice (EBP) sources. All resources must be within 5 years of publication. Include Intext Citations.
Student is required to create a PowerPoint a 15-minute presentation on a topic from the case study, the plan of care or the concept map. (See RUA Presentation).
Presentation must include speaker notes for each slides. (Speaker notes are additional details written under each slide in a PowerPoint presentation to guide the presenter. They help explain the content and ensure key points are covered during the presentation).
(Students do not need to write out the care plans or concept maps on the powerpoint. Instead, they can embed images of their care plans template or concept maps directly into the slides).
