Sales/Marketing

Overview

A sales strategy is a set of decisions, actions, and goals that inform how your sales team positions the organization and its products to close new customers. It acts as a guide for sales reps to follow, with clear objectives regarding sales processes, product positioning, and competitive analysis.

For this week’s capstone milestone, I want you to consider the sales strategy for your business.

A sales strategy shouldn't be one-size-fits-all. Every customer is different; therefore, different organizations/businesses should draw up and implement different strategies.

What is the sales strategy for your business? Some of the sales strategies we discussed in class are listed below. You can choose more than one strategy.

  1. Build a pipeline of quality leads
  2. Sell to existing customers
  3. Do your research
  4. Set a goal for each contact
  5. Think win-win
  6. Keep following up
  7. Use a communication tool that manages itself
  8. Make signing or registering easy
  9. Prioritize your prospects using lead scoring
  10. Keep your contact list up to date

Once you have chosen your strategies, provide a detailed plan of best practices for each strategy chosen for your business.
