Objective:

The goal of this project is to apply strategic marketing principles by developing actionable

marketing strategies for Hot Chi Chicken, a Chicago-based restaurant brand. Each team will

tackle a distinct focus area critical to the company’s growth and provide data-driven

recommendations. By the end of the project, students will deliver a written report (5 pages

1. Social Media Strategy

Hot Chi Chicken has built a following without relying on consistent content pillars, instead

using sporadic viral tactics. However, the brand's social media growth has stalled in 2024, and

looming platform restrictions (such as a potential TikTok ban) add uncertainty.

  • How can Hot Chi identify and collaborate with the right content creators in the digital economy?
  • What collaboration models would be most effective?
  • What could a compelling compensation structure look like for content partnerships?
  • How should Hot Chi develop a sustainable, organic content strategy for 2025?
