Overview

• First, in your own words, provide a detailed summary of the main points, arguments, methods, and findings of all assigned materials (reading, videos, film, podcast) for this particular week(6pts). Don’t just copy paste the reading, you will lose points. You must include the title and author name(s) for each assigned reading and video and include separate paragraphs for each source. This section should be at least 350 words.

• Second, include your thoughts and critiques of the assigned materials (reading, videos, film, podcast), and observations from your personal experiences (3pts). For instance, these reflections should motivate you to think about the world around you (i.e., What’s something you found surprising or exciting about what you learned? Is there a personal experience, recent world event, news story, podcast episode, social media topic, policy change or upcoming event that relates to the week’s topic and information? What’s something you’ve learned in another class that supports or refutes what you’re learning now? Do you disagree with the arguments in the assigned materials, explain why?) This section should be no more than 100 words.

• Third, include two discussion questions related to the weekly topic (that was not addressed in the reading) and that you want to further explore with the class (1pt). This section should be no more than 50 words.
